Results published by “The Indian Journal of Palliat Care” have revealed positive effects of music therapy on decreasing levels of depression and anxiety in patients with cancer. After three days of studies, anxiety and depression among members of the music therapy group reduced thrice, compared to the control group. Moreover, according to the research, it is recommended to implement music therapy as a part of nursing care services, as an easy, inexpensive, and safe method to reduce anxiety and depression.
